Just came back from my third FanFest. Spent quite a bit of time talking to the locals of Rosia Montana this year. It`s really amazing to get to know these people - a healthy and necessary reminder that not everyone can be bought, that there are more valuable things than a bigger house and a nicer car, and that moving to a richer, larger city doesn`t bring happiness.

The way they talk of values long forgotten takes you back to the times when simple things really did matter.

And this handful of people who will never leave their birthplace is all that`s keeping 4 mountains from being blown up, along with a village, a handful of lakes, and the Roman mining galleries, unique in Europe.
